May play a role in early ciliogenesis in the disappearance of centriolar satellites that preceeds ciliary vesicle formation. Involved in regulation of cell intracellular organization. Involved in regulation of cell polarity. Required for asymmetrical localization of CEP120 to daughter centrioles.
